Client Spotlight — Harmon Financial Pays it Forward with P4

The P4 Foundation is one of our favorite local charities. Founded by Buford-area high schooler Gino Vizzi, the foundation works directly with children and families impacted by childhood cancer. Gino himself has a chronic, treatable form of cancer and uses his experiences to encourage hope, faith and healing for families dealing with the same challenges.

Earlier this year, Gino’s uncle purchased a Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron 883 Cruiser and donated it to P4 for a raffle. His uncle’s wife had a teenage daughter who passed away from cancer; the cruiser was donated in honor of Leora Woodsmall to raise money for the kids who are still fighting.

At the annual P4 Home Run Derby, Jack Harmon, Senior (Principal at Harmon Financial Advisors, Inc.) bought raffle tickets for the bike. His company, Harmon Financial, is an ongoing P4 sponsor. To his surprise, Jack Senior has drawn the winning ticket.

On the day he went to pick up his prize, Jack had a surprise of his own in store. After receiving the keys from Gino and his dad, Mr. Harmon stated, “I and the entire Harmon Financial family feel a deep connection to the faith and mission of the P4 foundation. We were moved to pay forward our good fortune and help raise more money and awareness for such a great cause.” He donated the motorcycle back to the foundation, along with a $2,500 customization package at Fraizer’s Harley-Davidson, to ramp up interest in future events.

The P4 Foundation held the final motorcycle raffle drawing on November 14th. The new winner of bike, Earl McKinnley, picked up his prize last Tuesday. Before he rode away, Earl said, “I’m so touched to be a part of the work this foundation is doing and can’t wait to spread word of their mission every time I crank the engine.”
